WordPress’ localization process
Currently, Global Headquarters provides WordPress VIP Global Pre-Formatted Websites for all markets and regions. The localization process includes the translation of the website and the approval procedure as any communication material. Part of the journey happens outside PromoMats, but in all cases, it should be reflected in the platform: as any other material, it must pass from draft to approve for distribution.
Because of these reasons, we think there could be a current risk of the market creating brand-new placeholders for their websites instead of copying the global. To help markets avoid this, we created this video explaining the workflow of localizing WordPress VIP templates.Key Steps
- First, find the WordPress VIP Global HQ material in Veeva Vault PromoMats. The website is a PDF that includes all sub-pages. Open the material, and please make a copy of it.
- Fill in the metadata according to the project you are doing. Take special care of these fields:
- Country – Fill this field with the target country.
- Product – Fill this field with the target product with the country’s prefix.
- Language – Fill this field with the target language.
- Content source – Global HQ Approved Content/Material.
- Creative Agency – Fill this field with the agency will carry out the localization process
- Share the material with your agency through the Request content method. Click the arrow button on the right (next to the shopping cart), find your agency indexed in the database, establish the development time, and start this action.
- The translation agency localizes the WordPress website using the WordPress editor.
- Since the agency is working outside the Veeva PromoMats environment to create the HTML, the agency should upload the PDF with WordPress site translated in a PDF format with all the sub-pages included.
- The translation agency has to finalize the Request content process by clicking on “complete.”
- Prepare for Medical Review; the step will be to bring forward the global annotations to our current material. Include the local anchors if needed.
- Finally, send your material for approval.
