Creating Text Collections
Text Collections are easy to create, use and manage content components, which can be easily related to templates or final promotional materials for immediate access to relevant grouped information.
They are similar to Story Cards, but are easier to maintain as their document type is Component, meaning they do not require medical approval. This means they can be easily updated and once modified, they’ll be changed in ALL projects where they’re used.
“Text Collection” is mentioned on the component title, as well as defined on the component’s subtype.
Two of the most useful Text Collection are the ones related with tokens (Veeva Emails) and personalization strings (SalesForce Marketing Cloud emails). Both are included on the Starter Templates’ related materials.
The asset panel inside Assembler has its own Text Collection section, users can display the Text Collection components by expanding the dropdown menu.
Text collections are as simple to use as dragging and dropping them into the artboard. Once placed in the artboard, users can edit them as they please.
To create a Text Collection, follow these steps:
- Make a copy of a starter template
2. Open in Assembler and fill with your own content

4. To convert the StoryCard to a Text Collection, go to the metadata, press on reclassify and select: Component/Text collection
5. Approve the piece by sending it to your country/region librarian
