How to add a video in a Veeva CRM Approved Email.

These are the prerequisites for successfully inserting a video file in an Approved Email:

  1. In case the video available in PromoMats is a ‘Document Type’ Material. Its status should be Approved For Distribution.
  2. In case the video available in PromoMats is a ‘Document Type’ Component. Its status should be Approved for Use.
  3. The video source file may be one of these formats: ASF, AVI, QuickTime, MPEG, MPEG-4, and WMV. 

Here is an example of a document with Type = Material and Resource Type = video.

The next step is adding {{PieceLink}} as the URL for a text or CTA button when creating an email with Assembler Online.

After approving the email for distribution, the user must create an email template to publish on Veeva CRM. To associate the video with the CTA or text using {{PieceLink}}, follow these steps while creating the email template:

After publishing the email in the CRM, The video playback will be the MP4 viewable rendition.
