Assembler Online v.8.8 Release Notes
Selection/setting of Artboard Size to open up new channels without having to provide customized operational support
- The new project type will allow the user to create a custom size screen or use a predefined size.
- The size could be different for each particular screen, allowing flexibility for coversheets, infosheets, etc.
Authoring features
In multi-screen projects, it is difficult to track repeating images and text. With this feature the user will be able to find how many screens these elements are used
Empty the contents of a cell without deleting the cell
- Currently, the system removes both the content and the cell
- User will have a possibility to remove just content and proceed working with the cell
- System will not hide the empty cell for preview and export
- Currently, the height is set automatically, based on the content within the cell / layout
- The user will be able to set the cell height manually on the artboard and toolbar
Bullets can now be set in color
- In addition to being able to set bullet color, the bullet icon now operates as a toggle turning the feature on and off
Buttons can contain more lines of text
- Buttons now can contain more than one line inside
Completion of Translation Functionality
Update the question shown when opening a project with an updated country/language to be more clear for users performing inline translation
Add country into Translation menu to support use cases where the language is the same
Check for duplicate images during XLIFF importing of images that are not translated.
- When an image is not translated, a copy is made with the target country and language. If there is a duplicate, it will be used instead.
Support Source Formatting if it is applied to the whole cell on XLIFF translation
- Formatting will not be lost as long as it is applied to the whole cell
Remove Asset filter for the Target artboard in Translation projects
- Originator: The ticket is created to simplify existing Assembler logic and minimize the issues from the markets (Nuria Mauri Just)
- The System will not filter the content on Target artboard based on project Metadata (Language or Country) allowing users to see and use all content shopped for the project
After the translation is completed, the user can choose ‘Translation Complete’ option before sending to the material Review, so that the Source and Target Artboards are merged.
Export Package Updates
- Export PDF is reorganized to show each screen in the various breakpoints (rather than showing the whole resource in each breakpoint)
- The Email HTML package is updated 1) Images are placed into one root folder. 2) Source folder, HTML, and PDF are renamed using the Job Number. 3) PDF is the same format as Exported PDF.
- The Mobile Alerts HTML package is updated 1) Images are placed into one root folder. 2) Source folder, HTML, and PDF are renamed using the Job Number. 3) SLIM is included for Doximity only.
In iPad HTML package, new shared resource separates fonts from individual screen zip files
- Current issue: system collects the fonts for all components from the iPad project (including RL from shopping card or Favorites) that may significantly increase the exported package for the iPad project.
- Solution: System uses a shared font folder that can be accessed by all screens
