Why does every instance of a duplicate text box change when new copy is added or changed?

Duplicates are all linked as soft copies. They need to be unlinked as hard copies by opening the 3-dot panel on the orange layout, click the copy icon in the middle and then bring the new text component back in from the Asset panel.
