How to work with Global references and anchors
You can bring forward and re-use, in your localized promotional job, the Global references and anchors.
Depending on the Global material (StoryCards / Resource) you have based on your local promotional job, there are two different actions you can make. See the video to know how:

- Make a copy of the Global Resource.
- Name your new local promotional job as you wish, following your local taxonomy if there is any.
- Modify the metadata fields needed in your local copy (country, language, etc.)
- Upload the new version of the localized job.
- Go to “Annotation” section at the top left. Select the ”Bring forward annotations” icon: the system will bring the references/annotations forward (with anchors) placing them linked to the original claims position.
- If your local version is translated:
- Upload the translated new version
- In the annotation section use ”Bring forward annotations”: the system will place the links with the anchors at the page margin.
- You need to relink the anchors to the translated claims, to do so click on the three dots, then click on the “move annotation” option, then select the “target” text.
- When your local promotional job is based on StoryCards:
- In this case, first, you have to create a project Placeholder. Then, include the Story Card in the Related Material section. See this article to learn how.
- Pre-work step recommendation: please download the annotated PDF from each StoryCard to use it as guidance. To do so, select StoryCard by StoryCard from the Related Materials section.
- Once the StoryCard is opened, from the top drop down menu, select “PDF with Annotations” , a PDF with annotations at the margin will download.
- From the project Placeholder, on the top right, click on the three dots, then select Import Document links. A pop-up will display, to refine the search select from the top drop down menu “Favourite List” and select the used StoryCards.
- The system will import the Story Cards annotations and anchors in Linked Document section.
- Find the anchors in Linked Documents section, press the gear icon next to the anchor and select “Link to Content” option. You can use as reference the annotated PDFs we previously downloaded, and re-link the anchor to your local claims.
