Material lifecycle
A Material is a combined amount of components with a communication message for one or more channels.
The material lifecycle are a sequences of states (Draft, In Review, etc.) that a document goes through during its life. For each individual state, Admins can configure various settings, including entry criteria, automated document actions, user-initiated actions, and user permissions. A document’s current state appears in the Status field. Here is a list with the most common states:Material lifecycle
- Draft: The first stage of a material when is created and allows the material to be developed.
- Pending Content Upload or Request Content/Request Revised Content: The material has been requested in order to be built.
- Content uploaded: The material has been uploaded and it’s ready to the next step.
- Pending Approval: The material has been sent to the business/ medical approver in order to be approved or rejected.
- Rejected: The material doesn’t fulfill the requirements and is refused.
- Approve for Production (AFP): This status is given by medical legal team and it’s main characteristic is that is a steady state version.
- Approve for Distribution (AFD): This status is given by business team and it’s main characteristic is that is a steady state version.
- Approve for Distribution- In Update: This status allows to the owner to make some brief modifications: edit the material’s metadata, reduce the expiration date or add attachments.
- In Re-approval: This status reflects a new approval process due to business/medical reasons.
- Cancelled: This status is given by business team and it’s main characteristic is that is a steady state version.
- Expired: The material ceased to be valid and is no longer available.
